1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, downloading our software, or using any of our services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.
2. Service Description
SecureVault provides a cold wallet solution for secure offline storage and management of digital assets and private keys. Our services include:
- Cold wallet generation and management
- Secure offline key storage
- Transaction signing capabilities
- Hardware wallet integration
- 24/7 technical support
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your private keys
- Securing your recovery phrases and backup information
- All activities that occur under your account
- Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized access
3.2 Private Key Management
Critical Responsibility: You are solely responsible for securing your private keys. SecureVault does not have access to, cannot recover, and will never ask for your private keys. Loss of private keys may result in permanent loss of access to your digital assets.
3.3 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use our services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
- Infringe upon intellectual property rights
- Transmit malicious code or viruses
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt our services
- Use our services to store or transmit illegal content
4. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of SecureVault, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the exclusive property of SecureVault and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
SecureVault is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
Important: Digital asset storage involves inherent risks. While we implement security measures, we cannot guarantee complete protection against all threats. You acknowledge and accept these risks when using our services.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecureVault shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or digital assets
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
- Loss or theft of private keys
- Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for our services in the past 12 months
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SecureVault, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your access to or use of our services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your loss or mismanagement of private keys
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Service Modifications and Termination
9.1 Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the services.
9.2 Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms.
10. Backup and Recovery
While we implement backup procedures, you are solely responsible for:
- Creating and maintaining your own backups of recovery phrases and private keys
- Storing backup information in a secure location
- Testing your recovery procedures regularly
- Understanding that SecureVault cannot recover lost private keys or recovery phrases
Critical Warning: Failure to properly backup your private keys may result in permanent loss of access to your digital assets. SecureVault is not responsible for any losses resulting from your failure to backup or secure your private keys.
11. Risk Disclosure
Important Risk Disclosure: Digital asset storage and management involves significant risks, including but not limited to:
- Market volatility and potential loss of value
- Technical risks including software bugs or vulnerabilities
- Loss of access due to forgotten passwords or lost recovery phrases
- Regulatory changes that may affect digital asset usage
- Cybersecurity threats and hacking attempts
You acknowledge that you understand these risks and accept full responsibility for your use of our services. SecureVault does not provide investment advice, financial advice, or guarantee any returns or outcomes.
12. Third-Party Services
Our services may integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.
13. Dispute Resolution
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SecureVault is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13.2 Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
